Please introduce yourself. My name is Charlotte Carey, I’m from California but spent half my life in New York City. I currently reside in Kent, UK.
Can you share with us something truly unique about you? I love airplanes, and am a plane spotter.
How did you get into flying planes? I’ve always love them since I was a kid but it wasn’t until my fiancé noticed I couldn’t stop watching them and knew loads about it and so he decided to drive me into our local tiny airport and signed me up for my first lesson.
Favourite place you like to fly to/by? I love flying to Los Angeles, i love looking outside the right side of the plane window because you see the desert as you’re coming into LA and as your descending you see the hills, downtown LA, Hollywood sign. Just makes me feel so happy because I’m back home (where I grew up). There’s a weird nostalgia feel to it. Also taking off see Malibu and the beach and coastline.
Who/what inspires you? All the women in my life :)
Where is your favourite place to be, when the sun is setting on the day? In Kent, it’s so beautiful in the summer time esp when it set just about the green hills.
I like to remind myself that… That I’m a tough cookie when things get hard.
What does finding escape in the everyday mean to you? To have a moment to yourself for at least 30 minutes everyday.
