Led by the five senses, Hayley Bonham, Creative Director of Casa Renoir and La Porte Space, gives us the gift of escape this holiday season with her guide to the best of Noosa.

Once a quiet enclave on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Noosa is now one of Australia’s most thriving and beloved beachside destinations. Experience a slice of paradise through the lens of one of its most stylish locals.

Scents of the city

Top Note: The ocean and the beautiful beaches.

Heart Note: The chic and understated lifestyle of Noosa - great restaurants, relaxed coastal life - it is something that is really unmatched to anywhere else.

Base Note: The lifestyle aspects that keep you coming back - early morning coastal walks, swimming all day and the relaxed state that you slip into as soon as you arrive.

TASTE

Restaurant with friends: Ron Herman Cafe

Whether you are with large group, just two- or even with children or babies, The store staff are all kind and The food is delicious and healthy.

Local flavours

Go-to restaurant for catching up with friends: For a casual dinning experience I will take friends to Theo’s Wine Bar, followed by Somedays Pizza. For a special occasion or if it’s your first time to Noosa, Sails is a must! I try to book a table closest to the beach.

Favourite spot for weekend coffee: Vanilla Foods or Nilla’s Pantry serve the best coffee.

Shopping for fresh produce or local specialties: Organica Noosa is my go to and Noosa Farmers market on every Sunday.

A view to remember

The Noosa National Park coastal walk. It’s one of the most spectacular aspects of the coast and the best beaches to swim.

The city's soundtrack

Noosa's signature sound would be crashing ocean waves and the buzz of people relaxing and dining along the beach front of Hasting Street.

Feel it for yourself

The most immersive and hands-on way to experience Noosa is definitely a morning walk along the coast and a swim to invigorate you for the day.

SOUND

The sound of Japanese Festivals. The sounds of music and Mikoshi ( Portable Shrines). The voices of children having fun at street food stalls.

Memorable sounds that bring back memories of when you were little child. I think these are sounds that make you feel like you are in Japan.
